Project Manager

Job summary

We are looking for a Project Manager with a background in engineering to help drive our software development projects, ensuring smooth execution from planning to deployment.

As a Project Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and stakeholders, to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards. While prior project management experience is a plus, we value a strong technical foundation and the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams

 

Stuff you will do:

  • Plan, organize, and oversee software development projects from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, designers, and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Assess incoming business leads, analyze requirements, and provide initial evaluations for feasibility and alignment with company goals.
  • Prepare project estimates and offers, ensuring accurate and competitive proposals.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and proactively implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Facilitate agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and ensure smooth sprint planning and execution.
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Assist in resource allocation and ensure team members have the necessary support to succeed.
  • Maintain and improve project documentation, workflows, and best practices.

The nitty gritty skills needed:

  • 1-3 years of experience in software development, engineering, or technical project management.
  • Basic understanding of software development processes, methodologies (Agile, Scrum), and tools (JIRA, Trello, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and software development tools is a plus.
  • Certifications like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMP are a bonus but not required.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
